said to be called the GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum. We only get the
briefest of teasers right now before the show begins on January 11, so

headlight treatment, a hood with at least one scoop, and a giant wing
with unique LED taillights out back.

After 13 years of operation, the Walter P. Chrysler Museum on the Chrysler

attendance meant the 55,000-square-foot museum couldn't meet its own
costs, seemingly leaving the facility's 67 vintage vehicles and slew of
displays without a home. The museum had been curated by the Chrysler
Museum Foundation, a public entity.

Video: Mazda2 Transformed From Stock to Racecar in 25 Hours
The 25 Hours of Thunderhill, a pro-am style endurance race held in
the northern California town of Willows, isn’t a race for the faint of

to compete in the event in their smallest car – the Mazda2. In and of
itself, not a necessarily impressive feat. But the way they competed is
what draws the imagination.

Safety Tips for Driving at Night
Some people enjoy driving at night, some couldn’t care less and
some positively hate the idea. There’s good reason for this, as a lot
more crashes and fatalities happen on the road after dark.
Nighttime driving only accounts for about a quarter of all driving that’s done in the US. One advantage of this is that traffic is very light, so you can get to where you’re going much faster during these late hours. But it’s also a lot more dangerous. Many of you have probably noticed this by watching the news, but the fact are gruesome: death rates are three times higher during the night, while about two thirds of all pedestrian fatalities occur at night.

A recall has been issued for the 2007 Suzuki XL7,
but only those vehicles either bought or registered in four states:
Texas, Arizona, California and Nevada. Potentially 2,380 of the SUVs
manufactured from June 13, 2006 to December 22, 2006 could have an issue
with their fuel pump modules: The plastic supply or return port could
crack. If that happens, it could lead to a fuel leak and then to a fire.

It has been 20 years since BMW broke ground on its Spartanburg,
SC manufacturing facility, and while the automaker doesn't have any
plans to mark the moment, economists and industry analysts have taken a
closer look at the facility's impact on South Carolina, the South and
global manufacturing. As of November, the Spartanburg plant's 7,000
employees cranked out 25,000 vehicles per month, and BMW has poured some
$6 billion into the state since the plant opened in 1993. While that
figure nearly matches the state's proposed budget for next year, some
say there have been drawbacks.

After watching the Tata Nano post sales numbers smaller than its engine displacement, Renault gave up on its much publicized intention to build a truly inexpensive car to rival it. Then, a month ago, reports emerged
that Renault was resuming work on a couple of low-priced cars for
emerging markets, but this time it would work with its in-house partner,
Nissan. That plan envisions an
offering for €3,000 ($3,888 US) and another for €5,000 ($6,400 US),
both of which would be more spendy than the Nano but might avoid the
charge of being cheap – and nasty – and instead be considered
affordable.

The launch of the new Skoda Octavia is a very big deal for both the Czech automaker, and the entire European market as a whole. The car it replaces was hugely successful, with its excellent blend of qualities, and it managed to win over many badge-skeptics, who associated Skoda with their rather dodgy image from the 1980s, when their cars were nowhere near as good as they are now, in relation to the era and their competitors.
