Fifteen years old and still going strong. That’s the Boxster. Porsche has just celebrated building 300,000 mid-engine sports cars by merging the Boxster’s output with the tin-topped Cayman. Since the latter has only been around since 2005, most of that number is attributable to everyone’s favorite reasonably priced German roadster. The actual car that ticked over to the big three-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh was a silver Boxster Spyder bound for a domestic customer. Porsche claims this pair of two-seater siblings rank just below the chart-topping 911 in the residual values stakes of the company’s home market.
