As with all automotive shows of its size, the Geneva Motor Show 2013 was home to thousands from the press, including our own GTspirit team, and notable British automotive journalist Chris Harris also made an appearance and put together the following video of his impressions from the show.

New 2014 Mercedes E63 AMG to Get Business Line Pack with Regular Look

We met the 2014 Mercedes E63 AMG at this year’s edition of the Detroit Motor Show and we really couldn’t say that the new styling cues are are too much for the ultra-capable sedan. However, there may be certain customers who want the extra muscle of the AMG version, but without the visual changes brought by this.
For them, Mercedes-Benz will launch the E63 AMG Business Line package, which will make the car look like a normal E-Class (you can see this in the adjacent
image). The kit will delete the quadruple exhaust pipes, as well as the front apron.
The technical side of the car will remain untouched, which means that the hood will still hide a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 unit delivering 557 hp and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. Mercedes tells us that the vast majority of customers who want this come from Germany, so the Business Package will only be offered in Europe.

The 2014 model year Mercedes E63 AMG is so different than what we’re used to, it might as well be a completely different car. The German automaker has managed to squeeze out even more power from its 5.5-liter bi-turbo engine, completely change the look of the car and also the way it handles.
Both the E63 AMG Sedan and Wagon now come as standard with 557 PS (550 PS) and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque. If that, plus the price of new tires scares you, than you should also know the super sports saloon is available for the first time with 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The system has been developed to be biased towards the fun side of things rather than safety.
AMG also offers a new power pack called “S-Model”, which gets you 577 hp (585 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm).
The first few videos of these new supermodels have been released, and you should definitely take a look at how the cars behave on the track. Mercedes says that despite adding weight to the car, their 4MATIC system actually makes it faster.
autoevolution will be attending the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.

Some chrome wrapped cars are over the top, and we say they
attract a bit too much attention. Others simply look out of place, with
the overly-shiny foil applied over their bodies.
However, this Mercedes-Benz E63, from China, wrapped in gold chrome, with a contrasting glossy black roof looks really good. It just suits the car, and the idea of opulence and luxury, which Mercedes-Benz themselves want to convey with their larger cars.
We particularly like this wrap job, because the finish is not overly-shiny, like other efforts from China that we’ve seen.
The rest of the car appears completely stock, and it even has the smaller 18-inch AMG rims, which is actually a good thing, because they give the car a much better and more compliant ride.
The car was spotted the Chinese city of Fuzhou, in the Fujian Province. We have been disappointed by some tuning and wrapping efforts from China, but if we see more cars like this one, it does mean that the level of car culture in the PRC is rising, and the quality of the cosmetic work done to the cars.
