Quadro 350S, the New 3-Wheel Scooter

Italian 3-wheel scooter manufacturer Quadro prepares another nifty treat for those who enjoy these vehicles: the 350S. 350D's sibling, the S model brings revised ergonomics and the new saddle is said to offer better comfort.

On the same comfort side, the 350S will sport a new rear suspension to offer a better riding experience. The Quadro 350S will also boast more power, with the 4-stroke single-cylinder engine touted to deliver 25 HP and 25 Nm (more than 18 lb-ft) which is great for a scooter.

The new 3-wheeler will be available in White Snow and Ocean Blue, and the instrumentation has also been redesigned with a more intuitive and easy-to-read layout. More extensive details, tech specs and pricing are expected soon. The 350D version is already used by the Police, and hopefully with the addition of the S model, Quadro and their 3-wheelers will make it big.

$1,500 Off Australian Suzuki GS500 and GS500F

Living in Oz or planning to go there and stay for a longer time? Then how about buying a new street bike? Now its the right time, in case you ever fancied Suzukis: Suzuki Australia is taking no less than $1,500 off the price of the ever-popular GS500 and GS500F bikes.

First introduced back in 1989, the GS500 and later (2004) its fully-faired GS500F version have been some of the best-selling street machines in Suzuki's range. With multiple awards won along the long history, this line-up provided daily commuting and sport-touring fun for many generations.

These two bikes are powered by a 487cc parallel-twin engine and are also learner-approved. This means that if you're new to the 2-wheeled world and are looking for your first motorcycle, going for one of these is both a legal and smart choice.

The GS500 retails in Australia in Grey for 5,990 AUD ($6,310 or €4,754 after rebate), while the faired version sets you back 6,490 AUD ($6,840 or €5,150 after rebate).

Cagiva Cyclops 250 Small-Displacement Bike Prototype

With brands renowned for their appetite for huge bikes re-working their plans and starting working on small-displacement motorcycles, here's a prototype which could mean that Cagiva is planning the same move: the Cyclops 250.

Created by student Bruno Boarato, the Cyclops 250 prototype could be a good start for freshening up: the Castiglioni brand, rather shadowed during the last years by other manufacturers, could try and use such a bike to gain some bigger share in the ever-increasing quarter-liter segment.

As far as these sketches show, such a bike could do pretty well in the busy European urban areas. With a seat created for two-up riding and maybe a 6-speed gearbox to make it highway-efficient, such a 249cc (or similar) machine could mean smaller fuel expenses, and we'd all like that.

Even if the sketches leave little room for handy accessories, such as a top case or even side cases, we're positive Cagiva will not overlook this matter. As for the engine, some 30 HP and a generous tank allowing the rider to cover great distances between refueling stops would be really neat.

And by all means, a shorter exhaust than what we saw in these drawings: that one is ridiculously huge!

KTM Duke 390 Release Announced for March

After countless rumors and speculations, the last autumn saw KTM officially unveiling their all-new Duke 390. Now Bajaj Auto, the Indian manufacturer to produce the KTM Duke 390 has announce that the new machine will be in dealerships in March 2013.

The Duke 390 is expected to sell for Rs. 2,00,000 in India: that's $3,671 or €2,745, but it's hard to believe that KTM will have such prices for the bikes going international. While the ABS will be standard for the bike sold outside India, Bajaj claims that ABS will be available for the local machines, as well, no words on optional or standard lists.

Duke 390 will be powered by a 373,2cc injected engine expected to deliver 44 PS at 9,500 rpm and 35 Nm (26 lb-ft) at 7,250 rpm. With such a power rating and give the build similar to the Duke 200 we might be looking at an extremely cool bike for urban riders. And with the announced 6-speed gearbox, we might also see these new KTM blazing along the highways, too.
