The current Porsche Panamera is a car which almost cannot be
faulted, and they have even managed to convince people that a diesel
version of the car is just as relevant and useful, as its petrol-powered
counterparts. It really is a unique and very complete package, which
would satisfy even the most discerning of buyers.
However, it has one major problem - the styling of the rear end, which is unexplainably bad. We understand why they had to give it the shape that it got, in order to ensure that rear occupants have sufficient headroom, but it ruins the car’s styling almost completely, in our view.
With the Panamera Sport Turismo concept ,
though, Porsche is back on the right track, and we explained in detail
why we think they should make the next generation of the car purely as a
shooting brake, in an older editorial. Now, courtesy of teophiluschin.com, we can now get an idea as to what a sedan version of the Sport Turismo could look like.
We say Porsche designers should really take a good look at this particular rendering, and try to incorporate more of this design into the next generation Panamera, which is set to be launched in 2015 or 2016.
