Although it is not an official import in the United States, there are a few Land Rover Defenders pulling duty on the western side of “the Pond.” To call this old 4x4 iconic would be an understatement. The years have barely affected its styling. But now there’s a new concept model, which is far more affected. Yes, it still has a butch-ness to it, but making all those more recent vehicles for spoiled townies seems to have softened the Land Rover brand somewhat. Country folk might find the wheels on this DC100 rather too urbane for their liking. Nevertheless, Land Rover will be replacing the Defender in 2015 and it might look like this, and it might go on sale Stateside. But so far, no one at the Green Oval will say one way or the other.
