Some chrome wrapped cars are over the top, and we say they
attract a bit too much attention. Others simply look out of place, with
the overly-shiny foil applied over their bodies.
However, this Mercedes-Benz E63, from China, wrapped in gold chrome, with a contrasting glossy black roof looks really good. It just suits the car, and the idea of opulence and luxury, which Mercedes-Benz themselves want to convey with their larger cars.
We particularly like this wrap job, because the finish is not overly-shiny, like other efforts from China that we’ve seen.
The rest of the car appears completely stock, and it even has the smaller 18-inch AMG rims, which is actually a good thing, because they give the car a much better and more compliant ride.
The car was spotted the Chinese city of Fuzhou, in the Fujian Province. We have been disappointed by some tuning and wrapping efforts from China, but if we see more cars like this one, it does mean that the level of car culture in the PRC is rising, and the quality of the cosmetic work done to the cars.
