As far as car design goes, Kia’s Optima sedan is somewhere in
the middle between the newer generation and the old one. Its Tiger Nose
grille and body contours are all angular looking, contrasting with the
new Cee’d or Rio.
However, Kia’s engineers and designers are busy little bees and are constantly preparing revisions that are both cosmetic and dynamic. The third generation Optima sedan has been in production since 2010, when it made its debut at the 2010 New York Auto Show.
This facelift clearly features softer lines and elongated headlights with added LED accents for on the top. The section of the taillights that’s attached to the boot has changed indicating that the whole boot, together with the lower bumper are to be redesigned.
For a while now, an estate version and a coupe have been rumored as new additions to the K3 family, and this facelift would be the perfect time to launch them.
