Honda seems to be trying really hard to boost the appeal of its
UK-built European Civic hatch, which thanks to awkward styling and a
not-so-interesting range of engines, is not selling particularly well.
Following the launch of an Aero Pack, Honda are now back with a styling pack bearing the name of the Japanese automaker’s in-house tuner - Mugen.
It is a more complete aesthetic enhancement for the Civic, and it gives the car much more aggressive front and rear bumpers (complete with diffuser at the back), a large hatch-mounted wing/spoiler and three different sets of rims. A variety of special paint finishes is also offered, and they make Civics equipped with this pack just that little bit more special.
Extra stuff includes an anodized aluminium oil cap, which can also be had in different colors, as well as a carbon fiber cap for the rearview mirror.
Sadly, the Mugen pack brings absolutely no performance benefits, and we still have to wait until 2015, to get the all-new turbocharged Civic Type-R - the first Type-R to feature turbocharging, so that`s exciting, and worth looking forward to!
