Nissan unveiled the redesigned Altima sedan for the 2013 model
year last summer. The car featured better styling and despite stiff
competition from the new Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, it managed to
push Nissan to a very successful 2012 in terms of sales.
It’s been ages since Nissan targeted the big coupe segment, and the old Altima Coupe was a bit of a pig in terms of styling. Still, if Honda can make a decent Accord two-door, why shouldn’t we expect the return of a Nissan rival.
These renderings were created by Theophilus Chin based on press photos of the 2013 sedan. They show an elegant rear quarter that complements the front, which the Altima’s best feature. Even though the quad exhaust is a bit too much, the back end isn’t bad either.
Currently, Nissan still offers the old (L32 model) coupe alongside the new sedan, but only with a 175 hp 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to a CVT.
This really looks like the lengthy Camry coupe. I really liked the older styles that I have seen in the auto shopper. They look more sporty than this. Thanks so much for sharing what it may look like.
