The Renault Twingo has recently enjoyed the fruits of the Frech carmaker’s 2011 F1 title, with the city car’s RS version receiving a Red Bull Racing RB7 special edition.
The special edition is based on the Cup chassis, which sits 4 mm closer to the road and also uses the R.S. Monitor which shows basic telemetry data. The vehicle gets an F1-inspired front bumper blade, beefier wheel arches and a rear diffuser.
The car is dressed in Pearlescent Black, with Sirius Yellow details, also coming with chequered-pattern roof decal and door decals in the colours of the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team. The same color theme is used in the cabin, where we also find a a numbered “FIA 2011 World Champion” plaque and a Renault Sport logo inlay on the gear shifter knob.
The order books for the Twingo RS Red Bull Racing RB7 special edition are set to open in June (September for the French market), with the vehicle being available in Germany, Austria, France, Belgium/Luxemburg, Japan, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Switzerlan.
Renault also announced that a similar limtied-edition Megane RS is on the way and should arrive soon.
