The Abarth badge has a scorpion, an insect that’s small but can have a big effect. That’s the philosophy with Abarth-tuned Fiats, like the 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth. It has a turbocharged 1.4-liter four that kicks out 160 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. The suspension has been recalibrated, the exhaust optimized, the brakes beefed up and the stereo upgraded to a Bose system. There are also exclusive 16-inch alloy wheels and front seats with extra bolstering to hold their occupants tight through those fast corners. Fiat has now announced pricing for this package, which begins at $22,700 (including $700 destination charge). Buyers also have the opportunity to attend a day’s instruction at the Richard Petty Driving Experience.
