The Corkscrew is not only the most infamous corner of the Laguna Seca racetrack, but also one of the fiercest bends in the world, mainly due to the fact that it’s a blind one. So the Corkscrew is full of thrills, but can also take you down if you don’t pay attention and we’re here to show you what not to do when tackling it.
A 458 Challenge entered the Corkscrew way to fast, plowed into the sand and hit the tire wall, rolling over in the air two times before coming to a stop on its roof. Fortunately, the driver was not injured in the accident, but he certainly learned an important lesson.
To illustrate why it’s not a good idea to enter this bend carrying too much speed, we’ve brought along two videos, which shows a crash that took place during the 2012 Ferrari Racing Days over the weekend.
