Goodness, it’s been
three years since the Jaguar XF came out. Time for a mid-cycle revamp
then, introduced for the 2012 model year. There’s a lot going on at the
front: new headlights (holding the obligatory LED strips); a resculpted
hood, now with a more pronounced power bulge; and a redesigned grille
that has become squarer, deeper and more upright. Out at the tail end,
amid “blade technology” lighting, the chrome strip on the trunk no
longer carries the marque’s name. The sole designation comes from a
“leaping cat” badge on the trunk lid. One of the more noticeable changes
in the cabin is a new steering wheel. This refreshed model comes out in
the fall and Jaguar says prices “will probably not change dramatically
from 2011.” That means from around $52,500 for an XF.
