Alpina White BMW E30 M3 - Incoming...

Slideways defined
This is me on the skidpad in my Alpine White E30 M3. A complete list of modifications would take up too much space, but one thing of note is that this car runs a VAC Motorsports Stage 3 2.5-liter four-cylinder S14 engine built to see 11,000 rpm. All I have to do is switch from 292/284 cams to 322s. It's one of the fastest street-legal E30s in America still running a naturally aspirated S14 engine-over 300 hp and a blast to drive.

R8 Raptor-Fied
I'd just like to send a shout-out to Mr. R who owns the Raptor R8 on your October 2009 cover. I saw him driving at Mystic Seaport over Columbus Day weekend (I was the crazy guy waving from a minivan). It's thanks to ec that I recognized this was no ordinary R8. I was so excited I dug up the issue to review the article when I got home. My kids were excited too. Please keep giving us articles on unique projects like this.

Nothing like your first
I am a first time subscriber, and I love european car. It's the magazine I have been looking for. Kevin Clemens had a fantastic editorial in the December '09 issue called Family Value. I now see a Saab in my future.

Don't ask, don't tell
Do you ever publish stories that bring to light the amount of abuse one can receive in the custom forced induction business? You have done lots of stories of cars being put together, but I haven't seen any that show when things go wrong with an expensive custom build. Just curious.

Scirocco RS?
I'd like to submit pictures of my car as a Reader's Ride. It is a 1976 VW Scirocco that I purchased new. As you can see, it has been totally transformed while still maintaining many of the classic lines. Modifications include a 2.0-liter Techtonics block with stroker crank, Techtonics 8v GTI head with 268° cam, Pertronix ignition with Bosch Blue Coil and Bosch K-jetronic fuel injection, Techtonics downpipe and Borla exhaust, Neuspeed springs and stress bars with Bilstein shocks, Akuza wheels with BFG G-force tires, and a complete custom one-off exterior-no kit components were used.
