Rolls-Royce now also offers the Flying Lady as illuminated figurine, first introduced on the Rolls-Royce 102EX Concept.
The illuminated and glass Flying Ladies are available for the
Rolls-Royce Phantom and Ghost from the 2013 model year. The new
figurines are offered in two versions; an uplit style which features a
halo of pure white light and a version of polycarbonate, fully
illuminated statuette.
The illuminated and glass figurines come in addition to a wide array
of previously available versions including traditional stainless steel,
silver plated, gold plated, sold sterling silver and solid gold. We even
heard that somewhere a Rolls-Royce Phantom drives around with a Flying
Lady covered in diamonds. Owners of a Rolls-Royce don’t have to worry
about anyone stealing the figurine when they are out shopping; the
Flying Lady shoots back in the bonnet when force is applied as a safety
feature. Owners can also chose to manually lower the Flying Lady into
the bonnet with a button hidden in the glovebox. Prices for the new
figurines are available upon request and can also be retrofitted to
existing cars at any Rolls-Royce dealer.
