2013 Yamaha R1 Gets Two Brothers Custom Exhaust

2013 Yamaha R1 Gets Two Brothers Custom Exhaust

Already being the owner of the latest Yamaha YZF-R1 may not seem enough for some guys, and if they're also into racing, the standard exhausts will never do. And because aftermarket exhaust manufacturers are no strangers to such needs, here's the new R1 exhaust line form Two Brothers.

When it comes to custom exhausts, more power and torque are of course, expected along with less weight. The V.A.L.E. M-2 Slip-on exhausts for the 2013 R1 shave 3.5 lbs (1.13 kg) off the bike, while the 4.3 hp max increase is not to be neglected, even with bikes as powerful as the R1.

On the torque side, the Two Brothers R1 cans offer some 5 lb-ft (6.8 Nm) more @ 6100 rpm and what's even nicer is the fact that in the same mid-range, the power increase reaches a 6.8 hp value. This means a significant power reserve exactly where the high-rev sport bikes tend to lack as far as brawn is concerned.

The Two Brothers Racing 2013 Yamaha R1 exhausts retail for prices between $879.98 (€670) and $1,079.98 (€823), also available in dual versions, aluminium, carbon fiber and titanium.
