Lotus Racing Evora GTC

Team Bullrun will have its existing Evora GT4 converted to GTC-spec in June. The car has already proved competitive in the 2012 Britcar MSA Endurance Championship and currently leads the series.With its flared wheel arches for wider tires, less weight and new technology, the GTC regulations have added extra performance to the race-winning Evora GT4 Enduro. 

Meanwhile, American audiences can look forward to seeing the first examples of the new Lotus Evora GTC. Following the completion of testing at the on Lotus Test Track, the car is on its way to McMahon Raceworks with Condor Motorsport, who will enter the Evora in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car series.

The engine and gearbox of the GT4 are carried over to the GTC, but the carbon-fiber doors, and fiberglass roof and engine cover, plus plexiglass windows have knocked off 66 lb.

The rules also allow for the inclusion of traction control and anti-Lock brakes. These systems help the 18x10 and 18x12" wheels with 27/65-18 front and 30/65-18 rear tires cope with the extra demands.
The 4.0-liter V6 continues to develop 450hp and is linked to an XTRAC six-speed sequential paddle-shift transmission.
